WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. - Several vehicles went over a hillside Tuesday morning when a car carrier crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Westmoreland County, officials said.
The carrier rolled off the turnpike and onto Route 130 in Donegal. Eight vehicles that were being carried also went over the hillside, some of them thrown from the truck.

Officials said the driver of the carrier was not hurt, but the driver of another truck involved in the accident was.
Dan Pribisco, a Donegal Township supervisor who is also a firefighter, told Channel 11 somehow the car carrier got into an accident on the Turnpike and it rolled down the hill.
“The cleanup crew is here right now … They are doing it as quickly as possible,” Pribisco said. “There is a lot of debris to clean up.”
Crews worked to upright the carrier and remove the scattered vehicles. Traffic on Route 130 was blocked for several hours.
